OH, come on, what the hell is wrong with the people at ABC????!!!

How many hours and days did he spend standing at that tower window, waiting for her to come back, rehearsing what he’d say if she did- the woman who stole his heart, the woman who abandoned him just like everyone else.  He’ll be so cold, so distant, and she’ll be so sorry she ever left him.  He’ll never need those words because Belle isn’t coming back, she’ll never come back, and he hates her for that almost as much as he loves her, and he never looks at that damned cup.

Then Regina- Regina of all people- gives him hope again, and every one of his practiced lines goes flying out of his head “So, she needs a- a home?”  He can have her back.  It doesn’t matter what happened as long as she comes back. 

“She died.”

He wished her dead, and now she is, and nothing will ever be right again.
